About The Apprenticeship
Glen Jakes Riding School are currently looking for someone wishing to pursue a career in the equine industry, no experience is required however it can be an advantage.
We are ideally looking for individuals who are hardworking, honest, reliable and have the ability to work well as part of a team and also independently when required.
All the training is done on site at Glen Jakes providing you with a constant workplace and helping you to progress through the course with as much ease as possible.
During your apprenticeship you will be required to undertake duties such as:
Working with the horses on the yard.
Working alongside the instructors during lessons.
May include working in other areas of the riding school depending on your current skills.
Applicants need to be available to work a minimum of 16 hours a week up to full time hours, and can work one weekend day and at least two evenings a week.
The earliest you will be required to start work would be 7:30am at weekends and 9:00am during the week and the latest you might be asked to finish would be 6pm at weekends and 9:30pm during the week.
If you can be flexible with hours it is big advantage.
Future Prospects
Possibility to progress within the school and achieve more qualifications including Advanced Level.
